COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers the basic categories of phonology, morphology and syntax of elementary New Testament Greek. It is part two of two semesters of elementary Biblical Greek. The lectures in class will follow the sequence of contents in the required textbook.

Upon completion of this course, students should acquire the following skills:

  • Master the Greek alphabet and how to write them
  • Identify parts of speech in Greek (parsing)
  • Understand basic Greek grammar
  • Translate simple Greek sentences
  • Master the vocabulary and its meaning
